Deep Dive: Winning BBC Reader Application

March 25, 2016 — by Dan Wilson

The winner of the 1st Anything You Can Do contest, Peter Staev, wrote an article  detailing how he built his winning NativeScript BBC News Reader application.

In the article, Peter discusses how NativeScript separates styling from application code. Additionally, Peter shows how to incorporate a free 3rd party npm JavaScript library and use it in a native mobile application. Peter also discusses some tips and tricks he used to build this application.

In all, Peter estimates he spent about 2 days to put together the iOS and Android version of the application. The full code available on GitHub for inspection.

Great work Peter!
